My picture has one major failing: the scooter this family is packaged onto is a fancy model. The equivalent of picking up the kids from school in a $60,000 BMW X5. In Vietnam and Cambodia, most families get around on a smaller model like the Honda Wave. These have slightly less horsepower than Lance Armstrong.

Otherwise this picture is a good representation South East Asia. Scooters are the most common vehicle and it’s not unusual to see a family riding together. However, what still cracks me up to this day, is seeing a twelve-year-old driving one of these things on a public road. In America kids ride bikes, in Asia they prefer scooters.
